Christmas has become a very special time at Lindeth Howe. From the moment arrive until the time you leave we will make sure your stay is filled with Christmas cheer.
Lake District Christmas Break Schedule
There’s a gentle start to your stay at our luxury country house hotel. We will be serving afternoon tea in the lounges from 3.30 till 5pm so you have the ideal chance to meet your fellow guests and make new friends, or perhaps reacquaint yourself with old ones. Dinner is served in our acclaimed restaurant from 6.30pm.
Get off to the best start for your day with a hearty, full english breakfast before heading out into the lake district to see the sights or do some last minute shopping. If that all sounds too hectic for you why not relax around the hotel. Guests have free use of all our facilities including our indoor pool, treatment room and glorious gardens. Just make sure you are back at the hotel for dinner from 6.30pm.
For those who want to attend Midnight Mass we have Mountain Goat providing buses to take you to our local church. When you return you will be greeted by Mulled Wine, Hot Chocolate and Mince Pies in front of a roaring fire to warm you up.
Our free parking extends to Reindeer so keep an ear open for Jingle Bells during the night. Since it’s Christmas you’re entitled to a lie in (if you want one) after which you can join us for brunch washed down with Bucks Fizz. Come downstairs from 9.30am and meet our surprise guest. Relax in the lounges or around the grounds until 3pm when we show the Queen’s Speech.
Hopefully this will have got you in the mood for a traditional Christmas lunch, with all the trimmings, at 4pm. Hats and Crackers are compulsory but we will let you pass on the sprouts if you wish.
Let your lunch go down by relaxing in front of the fire before a light evening buffet at 7.30pm after which our team will be on hand to help you with board games and quizzes.
Enjoy a traditional breakfast at the hotel before having the rest of the day to use as you wish. Many local attractions open on Boxing Day and our reception team will be happy to help you book tickets for those that take your fancy. Dinner is served from 6.30pm.
After breakfast it’s time for farewells. We’re sure you will have had a stay to remember and will have made many new friends and if parting is too sweet sorrow why not stay on an extra night or two, or till New Year?
