Take a trip with Beatrix!
Available for stays between 1st April 2017 and 30th September 2017 - Book early to avoid disappointment!
This two night lake district break is the perfect way for fans of the beloved children’s author to experience the life treasured by her.
Guests on this break with us really do go potty for Potter!
The break includes entry to The World of Beatrix Potter, the ultimate attraction for fans. After viewing a film introducing visitors to the author, her stories and illustrations you move into the main exhibition where you will experience the sights, sounds and smells of the potter books. All your favourite characters are there including Benjamin Bunny, Mrs Tiggy-winkle, Squirrel Nutkin, Jemima Puddle-duck and, of course, Peter Rabbit.
You can also take a cruise on Lake Windermere and see for yourself the stunning scenery that inspired Miss Potter’s famous illustrations. Entrance to The World of Beatrix Potter and the Windermere Lake Cruise are included in your package price as does your half day Beatrix Potter tour with Mountain Goat.
With collection from the hotel at lunchtime by the fabulous Mountain Goat your afternoon will include a tour of Hawkshead, Tarn Hows beauty spot and Hill Top Farm and Gardens, the home of Beatrix Potter. Hill Top is a 17th Century Farmhouse that is a time capsule of her life. Full of her favourite things it looks simply as if Beatrix has popped out for a walk.
After all this adventure why not come back to the hotel and relax with a cream tea before changing for dinner.
This package includes 2 nights dinner, bed and breakfast at the Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel. It runs from March to September inclusive and must be booked in advance. Free parking is available at the hotel, along with a charging point for electric cars, but we can also arrange transfers between the hotel and Windermere rail station.
