Things To Do

At Lindeth Howe, we have four guides in our Beatrix Potter library. These are: Visiting Lake District Heritage, Literature, Galleries, Museums & Other Places of Interest; Give the Driver a Break; Getting Active & Trying Out New Experiences; Attractions to Suit Everyone, Especially Children. These guides are for you to browse through with ideas for activities and fun things to do in the Lake District for every occasion. Listed below are some example of things to do in the Lake District.

Outdoors and Adventure

Golf - We can make a tee reservation for you at Windermere Golf Club. Carus Green, Grange-Over-Sands, Kendal, Keswick and Ulverston Golf clubs are all within 25 miles.

Fishing - Lindeth Howe has permits on a number of local rivers and waters. Mountain Bike Hire - Bikes, helmets and route cards are all available through the hotel.

Water Sports - Sailing and boating in all its guises are available on Lake Windermere. For sailing training and yacht sales see Total Sailing.

Walking - The most popular pastime in the Lake District. Walk in, explore and enjoy some of the best scenery in Europe at your own pace.
