What’s happening in Ulverston? -  Well they are having their Ulverston Carnival it is a great annual carnival that is loved by all. It is also held on the outskirts of the national park what means you will be able to take in some beautiful views whilst the carnival is going on. Discover the local town and take in the lovely and friendly atmosphere that the carnival gives; there are also many places where you can get refreshments and food. Sunday 3rd July 2016

Tri Windermere is a triathlon around Windermere so go and cheer on those that are brave enough to do the event, set in a beautiful location you will be able to explore the town and take in the views around you. There are many spots where you can grab cold refreshments and watch those that are taking part in the event. Those that are travelling need to check road closures and any diversions check the website for this information.

Things to do in Ulverston – The Lake District Vintage Festival is based in Ulverston and has loads of different stalls around the town the event lasts all day and stalls sell things from vintage clothing and accessories to house hold items, and music and there just a few things there is a massive variety of what they sell. They also have music that is performed inside the coronation hall that keeps with the theme of vintage and is a lovely atmosphere. There is something for everyone as children and adults have the opportunity to go down the helter-skelter. With a lot going on it is a festival that can be enjoyed by all.

Saturday 16th July & Monday 18th July 2016

Cartmel Races are back! Come and see what’s happening at the races, this is an annual event that all ages can attend and enjoy. The event has a mix of entertainment for both adults and children, they have beer tents and enough places where you can get food. All this in mind they have music and entertainment throughout the day and the fairground that is open till late so enjoy the summer nights at Cartmel Races. The first race begins at 2.05pm and the last race is at 5:50 pm. For more information click here.

Sunday 24th July 2016

The South Lakes hosts Coniston Country Fair set in a beautiful location last year’s activities included things like: Terrier Racing took place through the afternoon. They have a superb Craft Marquee offering the best of Lakeland Crafts and food and there are trade stands, refreshments, amusements and much more, like an archery exhibition. The admission price is £6.00 Per Adult and £3.00 for under 16’s. There is also free parking, if you require any more information click here.  

Thursday 28th July 2016

The Lake District is home to one of the most known authors Beatrix Potter, this event is a birthday picnic celebrations at Hill Top, this event is hosted by the national trust and you don’t have to be a member to attend. The event starts at 11am and finishes at 2pm make sure suitable clothing is bought and it is accessible for large pushchairs, more information is available at the website

Saturday 30th July – Friday 12th August 2016

The Lake District Summer Music International Festival, this event is held all over in multiple locations across South Lakeland. The day is full of activities and helps yourself to plan your day as it gives yourself flexibility in what event you turn up to. The event includes a variety of different music and an opportunity to have private tuition and demonstrations so it is a great event for music lovers.
