Christmas & New Year Breaks

The festive season is such a special time of year, one to be filled with the perfect mix of relaxation, fun, laughter (along with a sprinkling of over indulgence). Here at Lindeth Howe we can offer you just that. You can do as much or as little as you want, you can relax or have a fun packed few days, we never wake anyone from their post Christmas lunch nap and we always do our best to make sure you feel as welcomed and at home as we do each and every day, by the time you leave you will be in no doubt that no matter if you come as a couple, as part of a group or on by your ‘elfthere will be no ‘Nightmare before Christmas‘Love Actuallyis all around and that it really is ’A Wonderful Life’ – Please note that ‘The Grinch that stole Christmashas been banned from our hotel! Christmas Break

The prices shown are per room for each stay. Children aged 8-14 sharing with parents are charged at 2/3 adult price. Children occupying their own rooms are charged at 80% of the adult price. Children aged 7 and under are charged at £25.00 per night.

A non-refundable deposit of £300.00 per person is required to secure your booking. A further payment of £250.00 per person is required in September and the remainder is required 6 weeks prior to arrival.

Arrival Day – 23rd December

Spend your afternoon at leisure upon arrival, maybe you can start our jigsaw off, relax in the lounges or enjoy a swim in our indoor pool with a sauna to help your relaxing get off to a flying start.

Dinner is served between 6.30pm and 9pm and is a five-course candlelit dinner accompanied by the pianist.

Christmas Eve

Start the day with a hearty breakfast served from 8.00am – 10.00am.
If you wou7ld like to go off on a Mountain Goat tour we can arrange this for you, we just need a few days notice, the cost would be £40pp and this would be for a full day tour (minimum of 6 guests to book) or why not take a drive out, we can give you a great route. What about some last minute shopping, shops are open until around 4pm in town and if you don’t wish to drive we can arrange taxi’s for you.

When you get back to the hotel maybe you could look at our giant jigsaw again to see if you can put anymore pieces in place, or a swim and sauna, or have a go at our ‘just for funquizzes.  What about guess the weight of the Christmas cake? Have a relax in the lounges before dinner and make sure that you try one of our homemade mince pies!

Time to relax before our five-course candlelit dinner at 7.00pm accompanied by the soothing tones of Pete Major Pianist. Don’t forget we have plenty of board games and quizzes to be getting on with, the staff spend the build up to Christmas writing some great ‘just for funquizzes, they however can’t be bribed for the answers.

Transport to midnight church services is available from the hotel from 11.00pm, and you can return afterwards for hot chocolate or mulled wine with mince pies.

Christmas Day

There will be a special surprise visitor waiting to greet you when you arrive downstairs for a brunch style breakfast, which is served from 9.30am to 11.30am along with a glass of Bucks Fizz. Afterwards, you will be able to have a leisurely morning, and maybe a swim.

Relax in the hotel lounges at 3pm before a traditional Christmas meal with all the trimmings at 4pm. Enjoy the evening in front of the fire whilst our team enjoy their Christmas dinner at around 7.00pm. There will be a house party style evening at the hotel this evening hosted by Clare and Helen, there will be competitions, games, laughter and fun, just like you had at home but here you won’t need to think about the washing up, 10 pin bowling on the wii? the girls will show you how!

Boxing Day

A traditional breakfast served between 8.00am and 10.00am. A day of relaxation is ahead of you today, on your last full day before home the day is free for you to do what you want, need some advice, just ask we all have some great idea’s for day’s out. If you just want a lazy day then why not spend the day in the hotel with the log fire and the peace of our beautiful hotel, a bar that is open from 11am, mulled wine and hot toddies a plenty, soak up on calm before you head home. What ever you decide to do today don’t forget your farewell dinner from 6.30pm until 9pm.

27th December

After breakfast from 8.00am to 10.00am it is time for farewells.

After a relaxing afternoon, drinks and canapés will be served in the evening from 7.00pm. At 8.00pm a Scottish piper will arrive to pipe everyone in to the dining room where he will address the Haggis. We all join together on large tables in the restaurant for a gala dinner (Black Tie Optional) with background music by the Pete Major Trio (dancing on the dance floor optional) After champagne at midnight dance in the night with music from the Pete Major Trio and Richard Cowie.

New Years Day

An easy start to the new year with a late brunch style breakfast, which is served from 9.30am to 11.30am along with a glass of Bucks Fizz.

A farewell dinner is served from 6.30pm until 9pm to round off the first day of the New Year.

2nd January

A leisurely morning with breakfast served between 8.00am and 10.00am. Before you depart why not have a stroll down to the lake or around the shops in Bowness.Snow Jan 2013 016
